JacquelineJacqueline Fernandez was born 11 August 1985 in Sri Lanka. She is a model and actress. She has appeared in Indian films, predominantly in Hindi as well as appearing in music videos and reality shows. Her debut came with Hindi films in 2009 with Aladin. Fernandez was born and raised in Bahrain to an ethnically diverse Eurasian family that is of Sri Lankan, Canadian, and Malaysian descent. She earned her degree in mass communications at the University of Sydney, and was a reporter for a television station in Sri Lanka. Then she entered the modeling industry. She was Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2006 and represented her country at Miss Universe 2006. Fernandez was the subject of an investigation in connection with the money laundering matter that has been involving Rs200 crore from December 2021. Fernandez was interviewed by the Enforcement Directorate for 10 hours on the 9th of December 2021. On 22 December, ED denied Fernandez's request to lower the Lookout Circular (LOC) which was issued to her in the investigation that prohibits her from travelling beyond India
