Alison Krauss
Alison Krauss, a bluegrass musician from Tennessee aged 19 years old, became a famous national figure in the year 1990 following receiving the Grammy Award as the Best Bluegrass Album. It was an impressive feat in many ways, not just because Krauss was young, but also because I've Got That Old Feeling was the third album in her library. The first album, Too Late to Cry, was released when the Champaign, Illinois, native was only 16; she signed a contract with Rounder Records--one the most respected folk music labels that exist in the world--at the age of 14. In addition, her achievements even at this young age and astounding virtuosity have consistently been matched by her faithfulness to bluegrass. Bluegrass is one of the oldest, and perhaps most underrated, of traditional American form of musical expression. Krauss had been young phenom had become a professional musician and producer.
