Lexis was probably no stranger being born into a family full of golfers. Her first game was at a very young age and became the youngest player to make it into the US Women's Open at the age of 12 years old in 2007. The tournament was not won but she did finish second that year after taking home the Aldila Junior Classic. As well as becoming the youngest American Junior Golf Association, (AJGA) winner of the award at the time as well as the youngest golfer to be awarded the Westfield Junior PGA Championship.
